CHARITABLE FOUNDATION
SalutarisMD will set up a charitable foundation to promote physician-initiated studies of ophthalmic diseases using the BetaCurve by donating devices, training, and resources to provide care to underserved patients who would otherwise go untreated.
Current treatments for wet-AMD require frequent, often monthly, visits to a vitreoretinal surgeon to inject expensive anti-VEGF directly into the eye. Not only does this unpleasant procedure add to the existing suffering of people afflicted with the disease, the treatment burden and cost is too much to bear for those living in poverty.
